Strophe Reader
Strophe is a native iPhone ebook reader with natural text to speech built in. Import your EPUBs, PDFs and web articles, then read them or have them narrated out loud. The voices are generated on your device, so narration works offline and nothing you read is uploaded anywhere.

About Strophe Reader
Is Strophe Reader legit?
Strophe Reader was listed on IndieAppCircle in September 2026 by Tommy Bergeron, who opened it to independent testers. 1 independent tester has used it since and had their feedback accepted by the maker. It is distributed through its own website at brainpad.org. IndieAppCircle is a peer feedback exchange, not a paid-review site: testers earn credits only for feedback the maker accepts, and nobody is paid to be positive. We record what happened here; we do not vouch for a product's business practices.
What platforms does Strophe Reader run on?
Strophe Reader runs on iOS. The maker built it for a general audience.
Is Strophe Reader still looking for testers?
Yes. The maker pays 5 credits for each approved test. Sign in to IndieAppCircle, open the test instructions on this page, try the app and write up what worked, what confused you and what broke. Once the maker approves your feedback the credits are yours; feedback left unanswered for 48 hours is approved automatically.
How do testers review Strophe Reader on IndieAppCircle?
Testers are other indie developers. They open Strophe Reader, follow the maker's test instructions, and write up first impressions, confusing moments and bugs. The maker reads each write-up and either approves it — which pays the tester — or rejects it. Only approved feedback is counted on this page. There are no star ratings and IndieAppCircle pays nobody to review anything; it is a feedback exchange, not a review site.
