iOS Apps Looking for Beta Testers

Almost every iOS app here ships through TestFlight, Apple's official beta-testing app — you tap a link or redeem a code, TestFlight installs the build, and you are testing within a minute or two.

Why test iOS apps

  • TestFlight is the standard, official way to test — no sideloading, no security prompts to work around
  • You are often the first person outside the developer to use the app on a real device
  • Feedback on gestures, notifications and native-feel details is especially valuable, since it is easy for a solo dev to miss what feels off on iOS specifically
  • Quick to complete — most listings estimate 5 to 15 minutes

What to check when testing an iOS app

  • If the invite link stops working, it is probably expired — TestFlight builds expire 90 days after upload. If you cannot install or open one, mention it in your feedback so the owner knows to push a fresh build — it is not usually a bug on their end.
  • Note your device model and iOS version — Screen sizes and iOS versions vary a lot, and layout issues on an iPhone SE look very different from an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
  • Check standard iOS gestures feel right — Swipe-back-to-go-back, pull-to-refresh, and similar system conventions — do they work the way every other iOS app behaves, or does something feel off?
  • Check notification permission prompts — Does the app ask for notification permission at a sensible moment, with a clear reason why?

FAQ

  • Do I need the TestFlight app? Yes — it is free from the App Store. The app's listing links directly to the beta; TestFlight handles the rest.
  • What if the invite link doesn't work? TestFlight betas cap at 10,000 testers and the invite can expire. Let the app owner know through the app's page so they can send a fresh one.
