Sat IP Anywhere is a client-server solution that allows you to watch TV outside of your home. Based on the SAT>IP standard and VLC, the server component communicates with your existing SAT>IP receiver, transcodes the video stream, and delivers it directly to your Android or Fire TV device. Security was a primary focus during development. All commands are transmitted via HTTPS, and the stream itself is protected by an access token provided to the client through secure HTTPS requests. Currently, the app only supports Astra 19.2°E, which is the primary satellite for German broadcasters.
