ScanSave

Imagine you live in a big city like Amsterdam, surrounded by many supermarkets. You have a grocery list, but figuring out which store sells each item at the cheapest price is frustrating and nearly impossible to track manually. That’s where my app comes in. Simply scan the barcode of a product, and the app will automatically fetch details like the product name and package size using an open API. You then save the price at a specific supermarket. Next time you scan the same item, the app shows you where it’s cheapest — no more guesswork. You can also: Share prices with friends to build a community-driven price map. Compare similar items (even if they don’t have the same barcode) to find the best-value alternatives. In short: the app helps you save money, time, and effort every time you shop.

About ScanSave

Is ScanSave legit?

ScanSave was listed on IndieAppCircle in September 2025 by Nil madhab, who opened it to independent testers. 1 independent tester has used it since and had their feedback accepted by the maker. It is distributed through the Apple App Store. IndieAppCircle is a peer feedback exchange, not a paid-review site: testers earn credits only for feedback the maker accepts, and nobody is paid to be positive. We record what happened here; we do not vouch for a product's business practices.

Is ScanSave still looking for testers?

Not right now. The listing is closed to new tests because the maker's credit balance no longer covers the 5-credit reward. The 1 approved review stays here as a record. It reopens on its own once the maker tops up — if that is you, sign in and check your dashboard.

How do testers review ScanSave on IndieAppCircle?

Testers are other indie developers. They open ScanSave, follow the maker's test instructions, and write up first impressions, confusing moments and bugs. The maker reads each write-up and either approves it — which pays the tester — or rejects it. Only approved feedback is counted on this page. There are no star ratings and IndieAppCircle pays nobody to review anything; it is a feedback exchange, not a review site.
