DissectMac
DissectMac is a native macOS storage analyzer designed to help users visualize disk usage and reclaim space efficiently. Built with a privacy-first approach, the application processes all data 100% locally—your files never leave your Mac, and no account setup is required. Key Features Storage Visualization Features an interactive treemap that displays exactly what is occupying your disk space. This makes it easy to identify everything from massive video archives to hidden System Data at a glance. Complete App Uninstaller and Cleanup Goes beyond simple deletion by scanning for and removing associated containers, caches, preference files, and orphaned files left behind by previously deleted apps. Intelligent Search A blazing-fast alternative to the default macOS Finder. It allows you to search for any file or folder across your entire drive in a matter of seconds. Real-time Monitoring Includes live system tracking to help you keep an eye on vital performance metrics, including CPU load, memory pressure, and network activity. Privacy Commitment Because DissectMac operates entirely on-device, your file structure and data remain completely private and secure.

About DissectMac
Is DissectMac legit?
DissectMac was listed on IndieAppCircle in April 2026 by Kapil DissectMac, who opened it to independent testers. 1 independent tester has used it since and had their feedback accepted by the maker. It is distributed through its own website at dissectmac.com. IndieAppCircle is a peer feedback exchange, not a paid-review site: testers earn credits only for feedback the maker accepts, and nobody is paid to be positive. We record what happened here; we do not vouch for a product's business practices.
What platforms does DissectMac run on?
DissectMac runs on macOS. The maker built it for a general audience.
Is DissectMac still looking for testers?
Not right now. The listing is closed to new tests because the maker's credit balance no longer covers the 5-credit reward. The 1 approved review stays here as a record. It reopens on its own once the maker tops up — if that is you, sign in and check your dashboard.
How do testers review DissectMac on IndieAppCircle?
Testers are other indie developers. They open DissectMac, follow the maker's test instructions, and write up first impressions, confusing moments and bugs. The maker reads each write-up and either approves it — which pays the tester — or rejects it. Only approved feedback is counted on this page. There are no star ratings and IndieAppCircle pays nobody to review anything; it is a feedback exchange, not a review site.
